PRISMA Health Blue Ridge Orthopedics
Batson Associates partnered with Prisma Health to transform a former engineering office into a spacious orthopedic clinic for Blue Ridge Orthopedics. This adaptive reuse project supports the relocation and expansion of their Anderson facility, increasing capacity for patient exams and procedures.
The renovation encompassed approximately 15,000 square feet and was carefully coordinated to minimize costs by reusing existing equipment, including x-ray machines. The result is a modern, efficient space that strengthens Blue Ridge Orthopedics’ role as a trusted provider in the Anderson community.
The renovation scope included converting a large central conference room into two fully equipped x-ray rooms with a shared control and workstation area, complete with lead-shielded walls to meet safety standards. Several existing offices were repurposed into exam rooms, enhancing the clinic’s capacity for patient care. To support clinical hygiene, handwash alcoves were strategically added throughout the corridors, serving various zones of the building. Additionally, expansive open areas at the north and south ends of the facility were redesigned to accommodate essential team spaces, including a nurse station, a shared office for CMAs, and a conference room—creating a more functional and collaborative environment for staff and patients alike.
